About ATC

On the ATC line, we choose to build our trailers from scratch made entirely of aluminum. By using aluminum we are able to pass on several advantages to our customers that you will not find in a steel trailer. Aluminum will not rust or weaken, thus weathering far better than steel, allowing our all aluminum trailers to maintain their original appearance for many years. If you decide to sell your ATC trailer to re-invest in a newer model you will find that ATC trailers have a higher resale value as a result of the minimal wear and tear our trailers experience over the years.

Aluminum is lighter than steel making our all-aluminum trailers weigh much less than comparable steel trailers. This means immediate cost savings from increased fuel economy along with easier highway towing.

Pound for pound, aluminum is stronger than steel. We invited independent engineers from Dexter Axle to evaluate the strength and engineering of our aluminum extrusions. After extensive testing, they concluded that our axle mains are actually stronger than what is found on steel trailers!

If you have ever looked at purchasing a trailer, you know that there is no shortage of companies to choose from. In the cutthroat market for steel trailers there is too much focus on price instead of taking the time and effort to manufacture a quality product that is built strong and built to last! At Motiv we understand that after a buyer has tried a cheaper trailer they will realize that spending a little extra money up front is well worth it.

Every trailer maker can offer a short list of reasons describing what makes their trailer better, but they are really designed almost identically. Our trailer is truly unique from the ground up. With the exception of our value priced cargo trailer, every trailer comes with all tube walls and ceiling. This gives the trailer extra strength and has less flex. This makes the trailer last longer, have better structural integrity, and keep the finish of the trailer looking clean with less waviness on the exterior skin of the trailer. Another huge advantage to the tube design is that we do not have to use interior plywood on the inside walls of the trailer for structural stability. This means that by using tube instead of hat post walls, our trailers are significantly lighter than the competition.

On our cargo and motorcycle lines, we have also listened to the feedback from trailers buyers and offer trailers with half foot widths. Instead of buying a traditional 6’ or 7’ wide trailer, look at our 6.5’ and 7.5’ wide trailers which provide extra room for all of your cargo. This extra room still allows you to tow the trailer easily and maintain high visibility, but it also lets you fit in your motorcycles, ATV’s, cars and other cargo more easily. These new widths optimize the space inside your trailer and still keep the advantages of smaller trailers.

3 Year Limited Warranty - 5 Year LIMITED Structural Warranty

The Aluminum Trailer Company Inc. (ATCI) warrants to the original consumer for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase the trailer manufactured by ATCI shall be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship supplied and attributable to ATCI. This warranty is non-transferable and is limited to defects in workmanship performed by ATCI only. Other components such as but not limited to tires, wheels, axles, awnings, couplers, generators, hydraulic pumps, jacks, winches, air conditioners, doors, 3M VHB, windows etc are covered by OEM warranties and thus must be filed with the OEM. Also ATCIs warranty does not cover special paints, decals or graphics. The five (5) year structural warranty covers the structural portion of the ATCI trailer shall be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship supplied and attributable to ATCI. The structural portion of the warranty shall include the main aluminum frame and all the aluminum members welded to it, the studs and framing in the walls and roof members. All other items are covered by the standard three (3) year limited warranty.

The ATCI warranty is valid only if the trailer is (a) Returned to ATCI or (b) Returned to a repair facility authorized by ATCI. Reasonable notification must be given for all repairs. A written estimate must be provided to ATCI prior to work being performed. Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of trailer, rental or substitute equipment, loss of revenue or other commercial loss is not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not cover freight to or from ATCI for repairs. The original purchaser of the warrantor’s product and any person to whom the product is transferred, and any person who is an intended user or beneficiary of the product shall not be entitled to recover from the warrantor any consequential or incidental damages resulting from any defect in the product. Damages include loss of use of the trailer, loss of revenues or any other commercial losses, subsequent use of rental equipment, loss of time and inconvenience.

This warranty is void if the product has been abused, overloaded, inappropriately loaded, neglected or misused in any way. ATCI reserves the exclusive right to determine whether or not the consumer has misused the product. The purchaser must notify the warrantor (ATCI) at the address below of any defect within fifteen days after it is, or should have been discovered. Purchaser must complete and return to ATCI the warranty form at the bottom to obtain warranty service within 30 days of purchase.

The 3M VHB tape used for bonding the seams on the screwless exterior has a limited temperature rating. In extreme situations, if units exceed this temperature, this may cause problems with the screwless exterior. If problems should arise with the screwless exterior, ATCI will apply rivets or screws in the walls as a part of our warranty procedure.
